In 1979, Mr. Beattie and his family moved to Kitsap County because he wanted to live and practice law in a community with good schools, a clean environment, family activities and the opportunity to provide service to the community. Mr. Beattie serves as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore in domestic relations matters and provides services to the Kitsap County Superior Court Volunteer Mediation Program.

He has been listed as a “Super Lawyer” by Washington Law and Politics magazine for the past five years.

He is a past recipient of the Kitsap County Bar Association’s Humanitarian Award.                  
                 
Mr. Beattie is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and Kitsap County Bar Association.

He is married and has two adult children.
